Codimg Update. 4.1.0

Featured
In this post we’re previewing some of the most important and powerful new features included in our latest platform-wide Codimg update. Since the last update we’ve made some big changes across the entire Codimg platform.

We spent a lot of time listening to existing users - in a diverse selection of professions and fields ranging from training hospitals to eSport leagues, education facilities to emergency service training centres. And many of the changes we’re introducing today are the direct result of those conversations.

So, without wasting any more time, let’s move on to the update and how it’s going to improve your video analysis and feedback:

New Features

Real-time joint analysis
Imagine being able to work with colleagues, on a single report that intelligently compiles your observations into one, easy to read timeline - automatically generating one unified presentation from your combined work.

Our new Joint Analysis feature allows you to work with up to 4 workmates on the same report, making it especially useful for monitoring small team performance, candidate selection processes, medical operations or situations where multiple views of the same action add value to objective feedback.

Dual Capture
Stream video from 2 different feeds into your Codimg dashboard simultaneously, with no need for any extra equipment or hardware.

Dual Capture provides the option to combine your own video with 3rd party sources, including close-up or fixed cameras and broadcast TV. Setting up dual capture is click button simple, with an intuitive interface offering the chance to switch between angles or to observe both videos on a single screen.

The learning curve to use dual capture is incredibly simple and the improved functionality blends seamlessly into existing workflows, with both streams auto-synchronizing post-capture.

Stream 3rd Party Video
Observe, capture and analyse video from outside sources, including YouTube, the web or any camera capable of sharing footage online.

No need to be physically present to analyse a video as it’s recorded. Tag from anywhere, create reports when it’s convenient and share them with your colleagues wherever you are.

Responsive Dashboard & Rounded Buttons
To make conducting your video feedback as comfortable and quick as possible we’ve completely rethought the user tagging experience; making it easier to share templates between devices - with a new responsive design that looks good on screens of any size - and to round off template ‘buttons’ for easier use.

Categories/Actions Frequency chart
Especially useful for the training of small groups and teams, we’ve introduced new ways of recognising and highlighting the frequency of actions within group activities, or in reaction to certain incidents.

So it’s easy to see how often the same action is repeated over a period of time, or how multiple actions overlap and what led to those actions in the first place - especially useful for adjusting behaviour in recurring events or situations.

Pattern Recognition & System Learning
Teach Codimg to spot recurring behaviours or repetitive elements of behaviour in need of attention.

Teach the software what to look for in future, eliminate irrelevant ‘noise’ and create intelligent templates to recognise future recurrences.

Enjoy the all-new Codimg
There you have it - our quick round-up of the changes we’ve made at Codimg and how we think they can benefit your work. Elsewhere, we’ve made dozens of smaller edits and tweaks, including custom xml imports, new ways to visualise your data, improved overlay function, hot links, a one-click slow-motion feature, button lock, mouse zoom, category timers and many, many more.
